We study e-Safety as part of the KS3 and KS4 ICT schemes of work, also we show presentations on this topic in L2L lessons and assemblies.

The school uses CEOP materials to educate pupils and we take part in Safer Internet Days each February.  We take Internet Safety very seriously in DTCS and us such ALL pupils and staff are requested to sign a 'safe user agreement' as well as annual e-safety lessons/units of work.

If you require more information please do not hesitate to contact us at the school and please do look at some of the resources we have placed below that may be useful to you.

Additionally, BECTA provides some excellent resources for schools, pupils and parents which can help us all to be 'e-smart' and use digital resources more effectively.

Two examples of such literature can be found below, we recommend you take a look through them to see what it is that we as a community can do to ensure our children are 'e-safe':

Flyer explaing how schools can help safeguard your children online,

Brochure packed with information on how to support your child's learning online (a copy of this brochure has been sent to all parents for Dylan Thomas school pupils for your information).
