PARENT GOVERNOR VACANCIES

The school currently has vacancies for Parent Governors – if you are interested please contact the school on 01792 610300.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT .........

The Governing Body meets at least once in a term or governors can elect to attend sub committees depending on their particular interests and experience  – Curriculum, Standards, Pupil Welfare, Pupil Disciplinary, Finance, Personnel, Premises & Health & Safety.  All governors are required to attend a ‘new governors course’ and may attend further courses on any of the business of the governing body if they so wish, all courses are available day and evening and are free of charge.

WHAT DO PARENT GOVERNORS DO?

Parent governors are elected as representatives of the interests of parents of pupils currently attending the school. A parent governor can continue to serve as a governor until the end of their four year term of office, even if their child leaves the school during the period.

Parent governors may express their personal views at governing body meetings, however it is expected that these views would be representative of the interests of the parents at the school.

Please contact the school for further information................ your school needs your support.
