Pupils are usually taught within their form groups for PSE and follow the guidelines set down by the Welsh Assembly Government.

 

The PSE curriculum at Dylan Thomas offers a range of experiences to promote the personal & social development and well being of learners. It includes planned learning experiences and other opportunities which are features of the ethos and community life of Dylan Thomas School. It has been planned to incorporate the aims and objectives of the Department for Children, School and Families’ “Every Child Matters” framework.

 

Pupils study PSE throughout their time at Dylan Thomas and cover the following topics at the appropriate age and stage of development :-

 

-          Active Citizenship

-          Health and Emotional Well-being

-          Moral and Spiritual Development

-          Sustainable development and global citizenship

 

While developing the following skills :-

-          Thinking

-          Communication

-          ICT

-          Number
