The Childcare Offer is being “piloted” in the following electoral wards of Swansea: Dunvant, Gorseinon, Llangyfelach, Morriston, Penclawdd, Pontarddulais and West Cross.

The Offer can provide working parents with up to 30 hours’ worth of government funded childcare and early education (part time school nursery) for 3 and 4 year olds for up to 48 weeks of the year.

The programme will be live from 1st September 2017 and eligible children will be able to access the Offer from the beginning of the term following their third birthday until the September following their fourth birthday when they begin full-time education.

Parents’ living in one of the selected electoral wards for the pilot can check their eligibility by visiting www.swansea.gov.uk/fis

If the parent is eligible they will then need to complete a full application form which is also at www.swansea.gov.uk/fis to apply for the funded childcare.
