Information for Parents/Carers

Dear Parents/Carers,
 For Information Only
In the unlikely event that we should experience any snow over the next few weeks, just to advise you that any decision to close the school would be posted on the school website and a text message sent to the primary contact together with an e-mail which will be forwarded to all parents that we hold an e-mail addresses for, as soon as feasibly possible on the morning.
A list of school closures will also appear on the City and County of Swansea website and an announcement will be also be made on Swansea Sound / The Wave and you can find a list of school closures on these sites also:

Year 11 – GCSE Exam – Thursday, 12th January
Also for parents of Year 11 pupils to be aware, as there is a planned GCSE Physics exam on Thursday 12th January, despite any school closure, every possible attempt will be made to open the school to Year 11 pupils for this GCSE exam to proceed as normal. The examination is scheduled to start at 9:30am. We realise that it may be the case that buses will not operate in the event of a school closure but if you can get your child to the school, to sit the exam, the school will be open for these pupils only.  In the event of a school closure, please be mindful that your child will need to make their own way home as there will be no staff available to supervise them on site. If in the event that your child is unable to make it into school for the exam, please do not worry as there will be an opportunity for them to take the exam in the Summer. If your child is able to get into school to take the exam, please ask them to make their way to the Boys Gym where they will receive further instruction.
This information is precautionary only and hopefully we won’t have any adverse weather conditions which will affect us this week.
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy New Year.
