Peace Mala Inter-Faith Dove of Peace

1   Orthodox Jewish Community Swansea.     

Norma Glass MBE will receive the symbolic dove from the Deputy Lord Mayor of Swansea in the launch ceremony at Peace Mala HQ peace garden on Thursday 30th April 2015.  Norma will present the dove and its message to the congregation at Swansea Orthodox Synagogue.  Small group of Inter-faith guests to be invited.

2    Society of the Sacred Cross Ty Mawr Convent Church in Wales Anglican Diocese of Monmouth. 

The peace dove will be delivered to the community of sisters on Thursday 21st May at 3.30pm where it will be received by Revd Mother Sister Gillian in the convent chapel. Small group of Inter-faith guests to be invited. Sponsorship received

 

3   Roman Catholic Church Diocese of Menevia.                                                                       

The peace dove will be delivered to St Benedict’s Church Clydach Swansea where it will be received by Bishop Tom Burns, Father Teyrnon and Father Keith.  St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Clydach will lead a Youth Liturgy for World Peace.  Inter-faith guests to be invited.                                                      St Joseph’s Peace Mala Ambassadors to organise fund raising.    Date yet to be confirmed

 

4  Muslim Community of Cardiff and Newport.                                                                                                   

The peace dove will now be delivered to the Ramadan Reception at Newport Civic Centre on Tuesday 16th June.  Time to be confirmed.

5 Baha’i Community of Swansea. 

The dove will now be delivered to the Baha’i Community of Swansea where it will be received by members of the Spiritual Council of Swansea.  Inter-faith guests to be invited.

6   Pagan Society and Goddess Temple Swansea University. 

The dove will now be delivered to the Pagan Society of Swansea University where it will be received by the president of the society Oli Taylor and Amanda Skeels of the Goddess Temple.  Inter-faith guests to be invited.

7  Palpung Changchub Dargyeling Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Centre Brynmawr Gwent.  

The dove will now be presented to Palpung Changchub Dargyeling where it will be received by resident teacher Choje Lama Rabsang and members of the community.  Interfaith guests to be invited.

8   ISKCON Wales                            Pending

The dove will now be delivered to the Swansea temple where it will be received by His Grace Tarakanatha Das and members of the community.  Inter-faith guests to be invited.

9 Yungdrung Bon Spiritual Tradition and Culture of Tibet.                                                                                

The peace dove will be delivered to the Yungdrung Bon Drub-dhe Temple in Morriston Swansea where it will be received by Drub-dhe members.  Inter-faith guests to be invited.
