Children nominated for Good Work merit this week were: Isla Prosser, Rocco De La Haye, Freya Morgan, James Madge, Mason Jones, Darcey Littlewood, Lincoln Russ, Cairan Winstanley Thomas, Ella Coady, Thomas Bishop, Oliver Neill, Nia Addicott and Tasnia Miah.
Children receiving a merit for demonstrating positive values were: - Seren Gammon, Nathan Cox, Katie Courtney, Keira Brown, Tanya Hamaamin, Tristan Xuan, Olivia Greenslade, Celeste Blagrove, Louie Jones, Lowri Bajaj, Charlie George, Isabel Harrison and Jorja Phillipart. Well done everybody - a really good effort!
Year 3 have taken part in a dental care poster competition organised by parent Mrs. Greenslade, who works for Kee Dental Care. The children were very enthusiastic about taking part and the standard of entry was very high. Daniel Price Williams was the winner, Caitlin Giffard was second, Tilly Mackinnon was third and Rosa Macgowan had a special mention. We extend our thanks to Mrs. Greenslade for organising the talk and the competition.
We held our new Nursery intake induction meetings this week. We look forward very much to welcoming the newst additions to our school in September.
Years 1 & 2 held their Sports this morning on the school field. The children have waited patiently for their Sports and the weather was kind. The children participated with great enthusiasm and their efforts were appreciated by all the spectators.
Next Tuesday is Junior Sports Day down at the track. Years 3 & 4 will be competing between 9.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.; Years 5 & 6 from 1.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. This event is always a highlight of the school calendar and we look forward to it very much.
Years 5 & 6 will also be taking part in the Kids of Steel triathlon on Wednesday, 2.30 p.m. - 3.30 p.m.. They will be running, cycling and swimming. They should be pretty tired by the end of Wednesday!
