The pupils are at the forefront of everything we do ; every decision we make. They are our core purpose. We aim for all pupils to : achieve their true potential ; develop skills for lifelong learning ; be prepared for life in the 21st century and have high levels of self belief and self confidence.

Our intention is to help the individual child to realise his/her full potential in all areas of learning.  Children need to develop intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically and morally in terms of specific needs and capabilities.

We aim to:-

Provide high levels of pastoral care.

Provide high quality learning and teaching experiences.

Provide a school ethos based on family, the rights of the child and core values of courtesy, politeness, trust and respect. A school ethos that is inclusive.

      Value all children as individuals.

Develop the whole child by encouraging a broad, balanced, child-centered curriculum rich in first hand experiences. A curriculum that is relevant and meaningful.

Ensure children are provided with many opportunities to develop their Literacy, Numeracy, Thinking and I.C.T key skills.

Develop bilingualism through the Cwricwlwm Cymreig and Welsh as a second language curriculum.

Provide challenging opportunities and relevant structured activities to enhance and enrich learning both within the school and outside the school.

Develop positive attitudes to learning, self belief and self confidence in all learners.

Ensure children have equal opportunities and experience all facets of school life irrespective of gender, race, creed, colour or background.

Provide a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment for all pupils where they feel safe and secure.

Follow a whole school positive behaviour philosophy and procedure.

Instill the key values of courtesy, politeness, honesty, trust, fairness and respect in all pupils.

Develop good relationships between home and school and maintain two way communication based upon mutual respect and trust.

Work in partnership with Governors, Local Authority personnel, outside agencies and the wider community to ensure the needs of all pupils are met.

Encourage pupils to voice their thoughts and opinions and play an active role in their learning and school life.

Prepare the children for citizenship by providing opportunities, responsibilities and experiences for adult life.
