Summer Fete

The summer fete is planned for Saturday 20th June 10am-1230pm, it’s always great fun for all the family so bring friends, grandparents, aunts & uncles.

If you know anyone who would like a stall let Angela Key know. Year 6 will organize some fantastic games and there will be a raffle (tickets to follow) crafts, tombola, BBQ, refreshments and a bouncy castle

We’ll need donations of cakes for the refreshments stall and the teachers are organising a toys and uniform stall so please donate any uniform that doesn’t fit as well as good quality toys and books all brought to the art room by Friday 19th June.

Each class is responsible for the following:

Nur: Cakes, sweets and crisps

Rec: Arts and Crafts

Y1: Raffle and Prizes

Y3: Drinks (Pimms, beer, tea coffee, fizz, soft drinks)

Y4: Door and Bouncy Castle

Y5: Tombola

Y6: Y6 Games

It’s one of our biggest money makers, but we need lots of help on the day setting up, from 9am and clearing away so if you can help in any way please contact your class rep or speak to a PTA member.

Will be Friday 12th June. You can wear what you like kids! Of course there is a small charge! Juniors have to bring a bottle or chocolates, it can be anything –wine, olive oil, bubble bath for the tombola and raffle. Infants can bring anything as long as it comes in the following colours for the rainbow stall.

Year 1

Indigo, violet

Year 2

We’ll have anything; frisbees, bubble bath, candles, as long as it’s new & the right colour!

Bring your Brush!

We are planning to freshen up some of the school walls on Saturday 27th June from 10-12. If you can spare some time to help splash some paint on please contact Michaela Braunerova. No skills required, just a paintbrush and lots of enthusiasm!

Summer BBQ

The most popular date in the PTA calendar! As always it will be in Mumbles Cricket Club on 10th July. There will be the usual disco and entertainment, tickets available soon.

Last year’s afternoon of cricket was an amazing success, Laura Price has kindly volunteered to organise another event which will take place in September.

A massive thank you to our PTA chair Elise Sewell who is standing down at the end of summer term. She has worked very hard over the past couple of years and I suspect it won’t be the last the PTA will see of her.

Don’t forget you can follow us on the Oystermouth PTA Facebook page to keep up to date.

P.S. The LC2 Fun Run is next week on Tuesday 17th June. There is a prize for the school with highest number of attendees.
