Article 28: We ave the right to learn and go to school.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

As you are probablyaware, the Welsh Government is requiring all schools to secure immediate improvement in pupil's attendance.  Any absences from school for whatever reason can be detrimental to your child's long term life opportunities.

We are aware that Nursery children can find a more structured routine quite challenging, but regular attendance can help establish a better foundaation for full time school in the future.

We understand that sometimes there are genuine reasons for you child to not attend school.  If this is the case please can you inform the school on the day either by ringing 01792 522202 or email gors.absences@outlook.com.

Should you have any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me, Miss Karla Edgecombe or Mrs Melanie Lewis our family support officer's.  We may be able to give you some ideas if you are finding bringing your child to school regularly or on time difficult.  By woriking together we can support your child to achieve the best chance of success!!

Kind regards,

Fiona Gibbard
