Our Nature Reserve

Craigfelen School has been blessed with a beautiful nature reserve, winning the highly acclaimed Prince of Wales Award.

Through City and County of Swansea initiated funding, Cyd Coed has fully financed the redevelopment of the reserve. Close partnership with Lea Halborg of redheadconsultancy has helped to rejuvinate this magnificant outdoor classroom.

We are very lucky to have been chosen by the Marriott Hotel Swansea,to be involved in their 'Spirit to serve the community` programme.

Mr Brunton visited school on the 15.6.12 and met with the Eco Committee. The Committee showed him around our school grounds and asked for help to improve our Nature Reserve.

On the 26.6.12 Mr Brunton will be bringing a team of people to start work on our Nature Reserve. We have asked if they would, paint our seats;cut the brambles;clear the paths and clean up our pond so that we can start pond dipping again.

We are very grateful for their help and can't wait to help them when they come to school.
