KS2 Specialist Teaching Facility for Children with Moderate Learning Difficulties

We looked at a lambs heart and saw the vein and artery. We learned that the veins carry blood without oxygen back to the heart and arteries carry blood with oxygen to all the organs around the body.
We dressed up as Super Heroes for Children in need.  We brought all our loose change to school and made a Pudsey face. What fun was had by all.

Wild Wood

In spring term our topic was called ‘Wild Wood’.

We were looking at what types of creatures live in the woodland. We then had to chose our favourite woodland creature and draw it outside with chalk.

We went on a minibeast hunt in Coed Clase! We looked under logs and stones, in trees and the grass to look for the minibeasts. We found ants, worms, beetles and spiders! We made a tally chart of the amount of each minibeast we found and we then put it into a bar chart.

We also visited Cadle Farm and Penllergaer Woods to look at the wildlife there.

We have been using the BeeBots and working on directions such as clockwise, anti-clockwise, forward and backward.

We have been looking at story writing this term. We have looked at other books for ideas on how to write our own stories. We decided to write a story about an alien crab named Charlie and his adventures on Earth!
