Lawrence’s Roundabout Appeal

Dear Parents/Carers,

The ESDGC committee In Bishopston are organising an event for a local charity, Lawrence’s roundabout appeal, to raise money for unique water wells in Africa (http://www.lrwa.co.uk/).

On Friday 30th June there will be a ‘Wear blue day’ where pupils are encouraged to wear items of blue clothing. It will therefore be a non-school uniform day and pupils will be asked to make a voluntary contribution of up to £1 to the charity. There will also be cake sales and stalls that also aims to raise funds for this local charity. So pupils could bring money if they wish to make a purchase, as we will be unable to accept electronic payment.

On Sports day which is on Tuesday, 4th July, there will be an event to help raise awareness for this cause. The “Water Relay Race” will involve two pupils from each form (a boy and a girl) from year 7, 8 & 9, competing in a relay, carrying bottles of water.

The Power point attached will be shown to all pupils over the course of the next few days, to highlight the events and raise awareness for this charity.

Regards
